Did you know Queen Elizabeth's 94th Birthday is this April 21, 2020?? In 94 years, Queen Elizabeth has seen many world challenges. During World War 2, the British people were afraid of an attack and to protect the children they sent them away from their families. It was hard for children to be away from their family and friends, just like it is hard for us today. On October 13, 1940, at the age of 14, Queen Elizabeth (then just a princess) spoke over the radio to the children of Britain reminding them to have hope. Every year our school takes time to run and raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation. Did you know that April 12th marks 40 years since Terry first started running?? Since April 1980 Terry Fox has become a Canadian Hero. If you don't know Terry's story look at the Terry Fox Foundation's Website.
